As Jesus followers, our calling is simply to love the Lord our God with our hearts, minds, souls, & strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.

How do we live a life worthy of this calling? As we embrace our new nature in Christ, who God originally designed us to be, we’ve discovered that Love is both simple and complex. It requires us to be humble and intentional. It demands nothing short of our everything. Our whole being. How we live and move and breathe, in Christ alone.

Love frequently asks that we abandon our own comfort and security to know and follow Jesus, and to show others this Jesus too: a King who forfeited His Kingdom to become a servant. A Savior who gave up His life so that we could be reconciled to the Father, adopted as His children, and loved unconditionally.

In the same way, Love requires that we give ourselves away to serve others. Especially when it’s uncomfortable.

Love always seeks and builds community. We reflect the image of our Creator and Father when we foster community wherever He plants us. We serve others by inviting them into community, creating a safe place to belong and be who we are in Christ, serving each other with authenticity and humility.

We’re still learning these lessons of Love, and the Father has given us many opportunities for instruction. We invite you into this covenant community with us, to learn together what it means to live worthy of the calling of Love.
